Super-short Chinook base
For masts that are just shorter than the luff.
This is a Chinook
"short". The adjustable ring has
been removed and replaced by
several layers of duct tape (just enough to fit snuggly). This is 4 cm extension;
note that the ring could
be put
back to allow for a 12cm extension.

One-piece mast?
Not quite, but the two parts will stick together when de-rigging.
All it
takes is a little piece of duct tape, easy to remove when de-assembling the
mast.
